The last night in England

Kia Ora.   About to hit the hay for what will be the last night in England.  Tomorrow JP and I will be up at 630am, driving 2 hours to Bingley St Ives GC, and then driving through to stay with Jamie's bro, Connor, in the borders..  A big day.

Things have been hectic again today in Yorkshire.  Ganton GC is Quality and will make for a fantastic write up. We played with two superb chaps, a local farmer Oliver and the archivist Ian playing a greensomes (both tee off, take the best ball and then play alternate shots).  Ian and I won on the last after all kinds of gamesmanship bringing a big smile to yer man's face!!   Ganton deserves all the accolades it receives & more.  A good write up with follow.  But first tomorrow we'll continue our catch up mission! It can be tough going some days to find the time..

Now I'm signing off from a mates farm 20 minutes up the road from Ganton.  Simon Tennant came out to play cricket in Wellington last year and, along with fellow yorkshire lad, James Finch aka Dog we had a good time before I bailed to play golf everyday.  We're all offies (although that was a former life for me as I developed the yips Mark Richardson style) - speaking of cricket the NZ lads are running the gauntlet in a few hours playing India at home.  Good luck to them. It's great to see Tenners & Finch but for now, signing off until the morning.  M
